Amazon admits it sold fake supplements

Be careful, sometimes a deal too good to be true isn't in fact true.

Counterfeit Align (probiotic) products were sold by a 3rd party on the Amazon platform on "Prime Day" which ran July 15-16th in 2019.

In 2013, FDA published a warning "that purchasing drugs from new or unknown suppliers may create an unnecessary risk for patients, as even cancer medications are being distributed containing no active ingredients." People are advised to exercise caution when purchasing products from 3rd parties, particularly online and especially from foreign sources.

Courtyard Pharmacy only sells products from reputable suppliers and follows strict pedigree tracking requirements for prescription drugs. The Pedigree requirements were introduced to increase safeguards to prevent the introduction and retail sale of substandard, ineffective, and counterfeit drugs in the U.S. drug supply chain.
